NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette County Habitat for Humanity took a moment this afternoon to say thank you.
The organization hosted its Volunteer Appreciation Day at the Negaunee Township Pavilion, treating dozens of past and present volunteers to a barbeque lunch, yard games, and an afternoon of community.
Habitat has been serving local families since 1992, building affordable homes and completing critical repairs across the country, work that relies heavily on volunteer support year round.
“We really couldn’t do what we do without the support of our volunteer community,” says Holly Jackson, Marquette County Habitat for Humanity Board President. “It was really important to us to plan something this year to just bring people together, provide some fun games, food, and community.”
