MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Peninsula Fiber Network has moved it’s central office into a permanent location in Marquette.
PFN is the top provider of network services across the upper and lower peninsulas, including for every single 9-1-1 call made in Michigan. For over 20 years, the Marquette-based company has served out of rentals and temporary offices. On Friday, PFN cut its ceremonial ribbon at a new permanent office, solidifying the goal of anchoring its headquarters to the Upper Peninsula.
“We have employees all over the state of Michigan, only about 40% of them are here in Marquette because we do run a statewide network, but this is where the magic happens,” explained CEO, Cory Heigl. “Our corporate officers are all here.”
The new office is located at 1280 Odovero Drive. PFN says their next steps are to generate fiberoptics across Lake Michigan into the Chicago market, the first of its kind to reach across the Great Lakes.
