ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – No injuries were reported after an electrical box fire at an Escanaba residence on Thursday.
At 8:16 p.m., Escanaba Public Safety was dispatched to a home for reports of smoke coming from an electrical box. When officers arrived, they saw smoke and sparks coming from inside the box. The sparks quickly turned into flames.
Officers were able to quickly extinguish the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to any other part of the home. They were assisted by Delta County Central Dispatch and the City of Escanaba Electric Department.
