MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – It’s the largest trade show in Upper Michigan. Every year, the Superior Dome in Marquette is filled with everything you could imagine for your home.
“Anything you want to do around the property or your house. Here’s a good spot to come and at least get a reference. Talk to the professionals who do it. They can help you design something. You see something and have an idea. They can actually help you put it together with a design, a budget, and materials, and actually make it happen,” said James Gorieski of The Upper Peninsula Home Builders Association.
Hosted each year by the Upper Peninsula Home Builders Association, the builders’ show is a chance to dream big and imagine all the possibilities for your home sweet home.
“The Home Builders show has everything from you know, if you want to remodel your house, put a new deck, do some landscaping, everything is here from real estate agents to buy the land, banks to finance it, people to help you. Design a house, build it, buy a four-wheeler to ride around the property,” said Gorieski.
122 exhibitors this year, all lined up to show off their goods and services. Every system in your home is represented here, plumbers, roofers, electricians, windows and doors, and even those who inspect your home to make sure your domicile is the safe sanctuary you expect it to be.
“Every home, whether it’s a new home or an old home, has some sort of deferred maintenance. We just don’t know what it is until we analyze it and try to figure it out. But everything has some sort of a thing that could be better. We just try to make sure they understand it and put it in perspective for them.
The Home Builders show runs through Sunday at the Superior Dome in Marquette. Tickets are $6
