MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Noquemanon Ski Marathon will return Saturday, following the cancellations of Friday’s events.
After months of online registration, hundreds of racers gathered at the Superior Dome Friday evening to pick up their packets and visit with a lineup of local ski accessory vendors.
Saturday’s races through the NTN are set to kick off with a one hour delay, due to projected harsh temperatures.
Jason Rolling, director of the Noquemanon Ski Marathon says even in the conditions, over a thousand participants will brave the cold.
“We’ve got over 1,300 this year. It’s an above average year, especially in these temperatures,” he said.
