ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Escanaba Public Safety is investigating the cause of a fence fire on Tuesday.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., Public Safety officers responded to a fence on fire at a residence on North 19th Street. While they were on their way, Delta County Central Dispatch informed them that the fire had spread to an adjacent garage.
Upon arrival, responders quickly extinguished the fire before the garage could be fully engulfed. The swift response prevented further property damage and potential spread to nearby structures.
Escanaba Public Safety thanks the alert citizens who called 911 when they saw the flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
