Connor Cameron is the son of Tech standout Matt Cameron

HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech men’s basketball head coach Josh Buettner has announced the additions of Connor Cameron and Jesse Napgezek to the 2025-26 roster.

The duo join Justin Bliesner as the class signees.

“I’m excited to add some depth to our backcourt,” said head coach Josh Buettner. “Jesse and Connor are both great fits for Michigan Tech academically and athletically and fit the culture we have in place here.

“Jesse is a great athlete who is very skilled. He can play and guard multiple positions. He possesses the versatility that we are looking for and will be a great addition to the team. Connor’s best basketball is in front of him. He can really shoot the lights out and is starting to come into his own athletically and physically. Connor will continue to improve and the future is bright.”

Cameron is a 6-3 shooting guard hailing playing for Alpena High School. He finished his senior season averaging 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists as an All-Conference Second Team selection. He was a member of the National Honors Society and plans to earn a degree in geospatial engineering while at Michigan Tech.

Napgezek is a 6-4 guard averaging 22.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.3 steals per game in his senior season for Wausau East High School, being a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection, adding All-State Honorable Mention honors. He was also a member of the National Honors Society and plans to earn a degree in engineering management while at Michigan Tech.
