Strong low pressure will spread snow in the region, mainly from Marquette eastward, this afternoon and into tonight. There is some uncertainty on snow amounts for Marquette itself, as it will be on the edge of the heavier snow bands. Will still lean toward higher amounts. Snow begins midday or early afternoon, and will become heavy at times toward late afternoon and dinnertime. Some sleet or freezing rain will mix in, which may cause some icy roads. 1-3″ of snow by 4-6pm most areas. Another 4-6″ through tonight, especially evening, for areas Marquette east. Travel will become difficult later this afternoon, and with wind gusts to 40 mph this evening, some blizzard like conditions possible. Snow ends by daybreak Thursday
