Successful Senior Day for NMU Men’s Swimmers and Divers

GLIAC Championships begin February 19

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The NMU men’s swim and dive team had a successful final home meet to round out it’s regular season schedule, celebrating it’s eight seniors before the GLIAC Championships kick-off.

Senior Wyatt Dickman had another dominant day in the pool, claiming individual first’s in the 100 IM and backstroke and a member of the first-place winning 200 medley relay before winning the skins event with firsts in the breast and back and second in the free.

Fellow recognized seniors Javier Pena Reyes finished first in the 100 breaststroke and second in the 200 free, James Werwie second in the 100 breast and lead-off in the first place 200 medley relay, Patrick Andrews posted a time of 1:51.70 in the 200 free, and Logan Robillard third in the 100 breast.

Leo Nolles broke the pool record in the 50 freestyle as the lead-off in the 200 freestyle relay, with that same relay team of Nolles, Gabriel Fulconi, Daniel Khmara, and William LaCount breaking the pool record.

The ‘Cats now look ahead to February 19, the start of the GLIAC Championships from Holland, Michigan.
