FORD RIVER, Mich. (WZMQ) – Santa Claus is coming to meet the children of Delta County.
The Ford River Lions Club is hosting its second annual Community Kids Christmas Party on Saturday, December 14.
Guests can park at the Ford River Pub, where they will embark on a winter hayride to the Clubhouse. There, they can play games, make crafts, decorate cookies, and tell Santa what they’re hoping to find under the Christmas tree.
The event runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to attend.
“[The Lions Club] gets great exposure,” said “Santa’s Helper” Colleen Coppock. “This day in the world, everybody just needs to come together more. They get a great feeling by doing this for the community. I hope that they have family fun, a little holiday time, without having the stress of finances or anything like that. Just go out and have some fun.”
Food will be provided during the event, and each child will leave with a treat bag from Santa Claus.
