Coach Dave Shyiak’s Wildcat debut spoiled by Tigers
COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – Colorado College’s Noah Laba scored the game-winner in overtime to give the 12th-ranked Tigers a 4-3 victory over Northern Michigan.
Matthew Romer tallied two goals for NMU, including the goal that forced the extra session. Romer’s second goal came with 43 seconds left in regulation. Captain Tanner Latsch scored in the third period to even the score at two.
Ryan Ouelette made 45 saves for the Wildcats. Kaiden Mbereko only needed 16 saves for the Tigers.
These two teams will face off Saturday at eight o’clock Eastern/seven o’clock Central Time.
