MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Saturday, the 10th annual South Shore Veterans Fishing Day was held this past weekend at Lower Harbor Park. With 113 Veterans and 58 boat captains, this year’s parade was smooth sailing.
This event starts with the veterans going out on Lake Superior and fishing, and then the veterans and the boat captains come back to show off the day catch in the boat parade. Guest speaker Chief Warren Officer shared how impactful the comradery at this event is every year.
“I think uh, my favorite part is just getting to meet everybody, enjoy the weather, and watch them catch some fish,” Chief Warren Officer Jeffrey Ritter, Guest Speaker
