MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A tool shed is damaged after an evening fire in Marquette.
The Marquette City Fire Department responded to 436 W. Bluff St at 8:25 p.m. Upon arrival, visible flames and smoke were coming from the backyard of the residence. Fire Chief Kurt Hillier says a 6×12 foot shed was fully engulfed. They were able to knock down the fire and extinguish the flames within ten minutes.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported.
Marquette City Fire Dept. was assisted by the Marquette City Police Department and UPHS 141 crew.

Multiple fire crews responded to the scene of a fire in Marquette Wednesday evening.
Few details are know at this time. It happened on the 400 block of W Bluff St. in Marquette. A WZMQ reporter on the scene says it appeared the fire was in the rear of a detached garage or just behind it. Fire crews made their way to the location around 8:20 p.m. Crews were wrapping up and clearing the scene within about 30 minutes. A WZMQ reporter at the scene says it appeared intact after crews extinguished the flames.
