IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – Stephens Real Estate expands its presence this week, making it one of the top firms in the Upper Peninsula.
The acquisition blends two companies with long-standing presence in the communities they service. Stephens expands into Iron Mountain, Iron River, and Florence, Wisconsin. With last year’s combined sales at nearly over a hundred million dollars between the two companies, new staff are bringing energy to the Stephens team. Stephens celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, and the owner says the new team is a welcome fit.
“We just want to thank both of the ladies that are coming along that have helped so much on the transition. The brokers and owners from Wild Rivers that are coming along on the transition, as well as the staff here who have been so helpful,” says Ryan Gordon, Stephens Real Estate Owner.
In addition to the new office on Stephenson Avenue, the new branch offices are located at 726 N. Cedar Avenue in Iron River, and 727 Central Avenue in Florence.
“So we’re really excited. We had the opportunity to purchase Wild Rivers Realty here, not only in Iron Mountain, but also Iron in Florence County as well, so by buying those two offices, we’re expanding our footprint, and having a physical presence in both Iron, Florence and the surrounding areas,” Gordon adds.
Joining the Stephens team are Associate Brokers Chase Erickson, Jill Ponozzo, and Stephen Remondini; Realtors Sarah Waterbury-Hernandez and Kerstyn Burke; and office managers Laura Harvath and Stacy Sucholl who will have access to the high quality training Stephens provides.
“We do a little bit of everything here, so whether it’s residential or multifamily commercial vacant land, recreational properties we really touch all of it,” Gordon mentions.
Gordon alluded to an openness to hearing more opportunities for bringing on the right staff in either the Iron River location or Florence location.
“If there’s somebody who is either interested in real estate, or somebody who may be at a different company that would be the right fit at either of our Iron River or Florence locations, that would be fine; however, I’m not interested in bringing any more people in here,” he says.
Gordon added that Stephens is open to hearing opportunities to acquire other real estate companies in the area.
“Not today, but down the road if somebody was like wild Rivers and were thinking ‘hey maybe we’re interested in selling’ – maybe they should call me, and see what we’re interested in, maybe we will be, maybe we won’t be. I don’t know. We’re always interested in hearing more opportunities for growth. No matter what it is,” Gordon stated.
