MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On January 26, the Lake Superior Community Partnership held their first of many Quarterly Breakfast Series.
Each quarter a meeting will be held to talk about an economic development topic that focuses on the Marquette area; this week was the housing market.
The breakfast gave attendees an ability to receive a first look at new Housing Target Market Analysis data and hear current updates about the efforts to develop housing options in Marquette.
“These are really about creating those community conversations for us,” said Christopher Germain, CEO of LSCP. “We’re a team of able folks who work in economic development in Marquette county, but we need the rest of the community behind us in our work and coordinating with us to actually make a difference.”
The meeting was held from 7:30 – 9a.m. and began with free breakfast and networking then followed with Germain and the Housing Panel (Anne Giroux, Alyssa Arwood and Ryan Soucy) speaking about the housing demographics in Marquette.
This Quarterly Breakfast Series is open to the public but a fee of $25 for LSCP Partners and $35 for non-partners does apply. To purchase a ticket for the next meeting you can reach out to Ashley Szczepanski, the LSCP director of marketing.
The date for the next meeting has not been set yet but updates on LSCP events can be found on their website, here.
