MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – 17 bands took over Third Street in Marquette tonight for the monthly Music on Third event.
Restaurants and businesses along Third Street let bands set up in their parking lots and jam away. Bands performed a variety of cover songs and original compositions. Bands played from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event crowded the sidewalks in downtown Marquette drawing hundreds of spectators.
“I have actually never been to Music on Third, so its something new, something different, I have heard it’s a lot of fun so we decided to make a night of it,” remarked Courtney Beecher who was attending Music on Third for the first time.
Music on Third will host another event on September 21st.
