NORWAY, Mich. (WZMQ) – In a groundbreaking move to enhance safety measures in the community, the Norway-Vulcan School District has announced the addition of a full-time safety officer. The decision comes as a result of a generous three-year state grant and the unwavering support of the Norway City Mayor, Candy Brew.
Recognizing the importance of prioritizing the safety and well-being of the students, the Norway City Mayor has taken the initiative to share the remaining cost to bring the officer on staff full-time at the school. “I’ve got great comments from kids, I’ve got great comments from parents, and especially with this going on now, I am getting a lot of feedback from parents and other people in the community that are really excited for us to have a resource officer,” Mayor Brew stated.
