ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Partridge creek farms is sharing some recipes and working on its Inspiration Orchard in Ishpeming. The nonprofit held its first community day of the summer this afternoon. Members of the Partridge Creek community were focused on some fresh rhubarb recipes for today.
The farm also got a start planning this summer’s layout for the orchard. The farms director, May Tsupros, says community days are focused on the orchard this summer to complete some community volunteer projects.
“The goal is really just to bring the community together.” Tsupros says, “Really just building community through local food and connecting. Learning maybe a little bit about growing food and the garden and working on projects together and just building relationships.”
Partridge creek farms will be hosting more community days, Mondays at 4:30pm at the orchard on the corner of North and York streets in Ishpeming.
