MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Saturday morning, UP Health Systems, Northern Michigan University, and Incredible Bank head their annual Hope Starts Here challenge. The Challenge includes six different running events as a part of the fundraiser event.
Runners pay to register for the Half marathon, 31k, kids mile run, leisure walk, 10k and 5k events. All the funds raised to to The Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center, a research center that focuses on education and patient advocacy.
This weekend, over 400 participants ran to raise money for the cause. This was the events 7th year host the run, The Centers Executive Director Dr. Robert Winn says it’s always great to see the Marquette community enthusiastic about helping the center’s cause.
