Downtown Iron Mountain Raises a Glass to Summer with Brewfest this Weekend

Iron Mountain, Mich. (WZMQ) – The summer events series in Iron Mountain kicks off tomorrow with the highly anticipated Brewfest. Twelve vendors will be joining in at the downtown plaza starting at 1 pm central time, offering over 50 different varieties of alcoholic beverages. Organizers are saying there will be two food trucks, and Pleasant View Orchard will be joining the party offering homemade apple and raspberry hand pies.

“The new thing we have this year actually is we are bringing a raffle to all of our downtown events, so at Brewfest our raffle this year is sponsored by True North outpost in Norway Michigan. So every single raffle basket and winner will receive a gift certificate from True North Outpost with their raffle prize,” commented the DDA’s event coordinator, Kenzie Williamsen.

“So at Brewfest we do not just focus on beer. We focus on beer, mead, cider, and wine. We also have Northwinds Distillery from Norway coming with their rum and they want to do blended daiquiris this year. So if you are allergic to beer or maybe just don’t like beer you have other options. And of course if you like all of it, you can try all of it,”

The festival is 21 and up, and ID’s will be required at the gate. The event will feature ‘One Human Band’ and ‘Soul Child’ playing music throughout the night.

Beer lovers from all over are expected to attend this year’s Brewfest, which promises to be a fun-filled event for all. So, gear up for an exciting day of beer tastings, live music, and delicious food.

“It’s the big bang at the beginning of the year,” WIlliamsen added. It will be held Saturday, June 10th from 1p.m. until 7 p.m. central time. “Bacco Construction is returning as our signature sponsor, and two food trucks will be at the downtown event, Grateful Cheese, and Curious Pig. Carol’s famous walking hand pies in apple and raspberry will be there from Pleasant View Orchard for the event as well,” stated Williamsen.

“If you aren’t an alcoholic drinker and want to come attend, we do have a $10 ticket if you want to just enjoy the music and the food, and tickets will be sold at the door. If you would like to have the full sampling and drinking experience the ticket cost is $40,” Williamsen informed.

Don’t miss this chance to enjoy the best of Iron Mountain’s local brews!

If you would like to pre-purchase tickets, they are available online as well. For more information on how to purchase tickets online visit:
