MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Today at the Holiday Inn in Marquette, the Community Task Force continued discussions regarding our youth wellness in local communities.
With a room full of like-minded stakeholders from Marquette and Alger counties collaborated together with one common goal in mind, our youth’s current mental state and how to possibly help their future mental state.
One task force member, Travis Smith, Deputy Superintendent for Marquette-Alger RESA is quite passionate about bettering the future of our youth. He said, “As you look across the nation right now you can see that there is a crisis both mental health and so the focus of this particular task force is to identify those ways in our community that we can attend to the needs of our youth.”
Smith says there is opportunity for our community to rise up possibly impact mental health of our youth and invites anyone to come join their task force.
