MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – With Valentines Day right around the corner, NMU’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee or SAAC is hosting an event that allows parents to have a night out without the kids.

The SAAC is hosting a Valentine’s Day Lock-in on at Vandament Arena on Valentines day. Parents can drop their kids off from 4 – 6 pm so parents can have a few hours without the kids. The athletes have quite a lineup of activities for the kids to enjoy.

Patrick Andrews, SAAC head of public relations said, “I believe a bunch of us do have younger siblings, so its kind of like almost like at thanksgiving when you are all gathering around the table, you got the kids table, you go the adults table, you got to just kinda feel that nostalgia all again.”

It costs just 15 dollars per child with proceeds going to SAAC’s future community events. With an opportunity like this SAAC are hopeful of selling out.

For more information or to register your child please visit, https://nmu.universitytickets.com/w/event.aspx?id=2798&r=a3d116c36770448996003d17ea97d680.
