Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel on Friday morning recognized three Marquette city police officers for their quick response to a domestic violence call which saved a life.
The ceremony began with a presentation by police chief Ryan Grimm, on the department’s special accreditation, how they accomplished it and the reform that has been done within the department.
Marquette Police Department is the only accredited agency in the Upper Peninsula. It earned the title in 2018.
The department has continued to maintain their accreditation status.
