Little Agate is a new children focused consignment shop in The Westwood mall. Leah Blanchard is the owner and operator of the shop, she opened up her store last month, after hosting pop-up shops around Marquette, and seeing that the community needed a more permanent solution.
Buying clothing for fast-growing little ones can get expensive, Leah’s goal was to create a more environmentally continuous and wallet-friendly option for families.
Little Agate isn’t just a cheaper option, it can also be a way for families to give some of their unused resources to make a little extra money. As a consignment shop, Little Agate will take clothing, toys, strollers, and other family gear as a part of a contract, then 4 times a year, Leah pays her consigners back 40% of their sold items.
Little Agate is coming up on one month of being open in The Westwood Mall, and they are throwing a grand opening celebration for the community. There will be snacks, giveaways, and crafts for the little ones. The celebrations will continue all day, from10 AM until 6 PM, Leah will be celebrating her store with the community.
