Showers and thunderstorms will continue into this evening and overnight before clearing from west to east. After a few morning showers, peaks of sunshine will be possible for the afternoon hours however a northerly wind will keep the northern facing lakeshore areas a bit chilly. Plentiful sunshine will be in store for Wednesday and temperatures will rise towards Thursday. Unfortunately with those increasing temperatures, comes the increase in humidity and the possibility of afternoon storms to flare up for Thursday. We’ll have a better sense of the thunderstorm potential as the short range models start to pick up the disturbance. Skies clear late week and temperatures will look to soar into the upper 70s to near 80 for the weekend. Happy 4th of July!
