Some light lake effect bands of snow in some areas today, but overall looking pretty tranquil for the U.P. weatherwise today. Some light snow will develop tomorrow, with light accumulations outside the Marquette area. Lake effect kicks into gear Friday, mainly across the western and eastern edges of the lake shore region. Up to a foot of snow possible in those areas. The rest of the region, including Marquette, will get minor accumulations, if any.
