Sunny skies can be expected across much of the region for the day Saturday with temperatures only climbing into the lower 60s near the Lake Superior coastline. Those chilly temperatures won’t budge much higher for Sunday as dreary weather accompanied by a couple of showers and thunderstorms will be the main focus. Precipitation will look to be heaviest for western portions of the U.P. on Sunday where some locations could see an inch or more of rainfall. Monday and Tuesday will see temperatures surge into the 90s as humidity starts to build. Along with this will come increased instability in the atmosphere, meaning thunderstorms will be looking to threaten our area once again.
