Marquette, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette Fringe hosted the second Fall Phantasm event yesterday from 3-11 p.m. at Lakenenland Sculpture Park.
The free event was open to all to come and enter the month of October betwixt land and sky where beings of Earth and Fire met in celebration.
Fall Phantasm had several vendor booths including jewelry for sale, tarot readings, herb wrapping and blacksmith-forged tools.
Other activities and booths included theatre and dance, local food trucks, a maypole and live music.
Marquette Fringe stressed the importance of having a family-friendly event that all could enjoy. While the event encouraged costumes, ‘spooky-themes’ were not focus points nor were they promoted.
“We really wanted to stay away from that, from Halloween. Think of Rennaisance meets Fantasy,” Bradford said. “It gives people an opportunity to experiment with the arts themselves and be their own character.”
