The City of Ishpeming has contracted with CUPPAD to prepare the Recreation Plan Update with the Scope of Work.
The planning process includes a citizen survey conducted by CUPPAD.
The survey will collect the desires of the community for what they would like to see for their recreation plan.
CUPPAD’s survey is available online and may also be accessed at City Hall or the Senior Center.
The City of Ishpeming has also put the survey through their school system.
Craig H. Cugini, Ishpeming City Manager, “We don’t want it to just be adults. We want young people to say, you know, I would like a playground, I’d like a skatepark or I’d like something else that is more in tuned with the kids desires and you know we have adult recreation and we have children recreation, we want to make sure everyone is heard.”
The survey takes about five minutes to complete and will be available through October 20, 2023
The Recreation Plan document is expected to be completed by March 31, 2023
