ST. IGNACE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be performing interior work to bring the St. Ignace Welcome Center on northbound I-75 up to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, along with other interior and exterior improvements. The Welcome Center building and restrooms will be closed from Thursday, Sept. 8 through early October.
The Welcome Center parking lot will remain open, with the building and exterior work areas closed off. Portable restrooms and hand wash stations will be provided for visitors.
MDOT will also perform interior and exterior work to bring the St. Ignace Rest Area on southbound I-75 up to ADA standards. The rest area building and restrooms will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Tuesday, Sept. 27.
The Rest Area parking lot will remain open. Portable restrooms and hand wash stations will be provided for visitors.
