NMU Men Swimmers break six records at UWGB Pool

Home Meet with LSSU this Saturday

GREEN BAY, Wisc. – The NMU men’s swim and dive team had a strong outing at UW Green Bay, breaking six pool records en route to a team win.

The men broke pool records in the 200 medley relay, the 400 free relay, the 100 and 200 breaststroke, 50 free, and 100 fly. All of the records broken had either the likes of Leo Nolles and/or Wyatt Dickman involved in the process.

Nolles and Dickman were both members of the 200 medley and 400 free relay teams. Nolles set the pool record in the 50 free as well as both a school and pool record in the 100 fly. Dickman, along with the pair of relay records, set pool records in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.

The ‘Cats found the podium in every race, winning 10 of those events. The full NMU specific top-finishes can be found below.

NMU now looks ahead to senior day in the PEIF Pool, hosting the Lake Superior State Lakers for the first time in program history on Saturday, February 8 at 1 p.m.

  • 3rd – Alessandro Rosatelli, 1:43.16

The NMU women’s swim team had a dominant day in the pool, claiming the top finish in all 14 races from the UW Green Bay meet.

Mia Strazny won every event she raced, claiming gold in the individual 100 and 200 backstroke while aiding both the 200 medley and free relay teams.

Becca Burrows also won all four of her events, as a member of both of the relay teams and individually winning the 50 and 100 freestyle’s.

Elena Curti found the podium in all four of her events, including winning as an individual in the 200 freestyle, second in the 500 free, and a member of the first place 200 free relay and third place 200 medley relay.

Evie DeCarlo, a member of the third place 200 medley relay team, claimed individual wins in both the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke.
