HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech sophomore forward Stiven Sardarian has been named the CCHA Forward of the Week the conference announced on Monday. He led the CCHA with three points in the weekend sweep at Ferris State
Sardarian, a third-round pick of the Buffalo Sabres, scored two goals and added an assist against the Bulldogs. He scored the game-winner each night with a third-period goal Friday and a first-period goal on Saturday. Sardarian also assisted on Chase Pietila’s power-play goal on Friday. Sardarian has scored in four straight games and in six of the last seven. His six goals this season leads the CCHA and ranks seventh nationally.
Tech is 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the CCHA and has the weekend off before Minnesota State comes to town on Nov. 22-23.
