Rocheleau, LaCount lead NMU attack

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The NMU men’s swim and dive team welcomed the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals to the PEIF Pool for the first home meet of the 2024/25 season.

Despite the team loss, there were multiple excellent individual results from the evening.

Ian Rocheleau claimed gold in both of his individual events, both the 25 and 75 yard backstroke.

William LaCount finished first in the 25 yard freestyle, anchored the first place 125 yard freestyle relay team, and finished second in the 25 yard butterfly.

The 125 free relay team consisted of Marty Wolmarans, Wyatt Dickman, Ale Rosatelli, Gabriel Fulconi, and LaCount.

The ‘Cats now look ahead to tomorrow morning, where they welcome back the Cardinals along with the Lakers of Grand Valley. First event is scheduled for 11 AM from the PEIF Pool.
