Top conference finisher at Lewis Crossover
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech cross country senior Sam Lange earned GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors following his performance at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday. The honor marked the second of the season for Lange and the third for the men of Michigan Tech this season.
Lange placed 25th in a field of over 330 runners to lead the No. 23 ranked men’s team to a seventh-place at the Lewis Crossover.
The Washington, Illinois, native repeated as the top-finisher for the second-straight meet for the Black & Gold, nearing his personal-best for 8k with his time of 24:33.6. Lange helped MTU best six teams among the top-30 nationally in the final big meet of the regular season.
The Huskies wrap up the regular season on Friday, traveling to Escanaba, Michigan, for the Bay College Invite.
