MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Following the absence of the 2025 Festival of the Angry Bear to put more focus into its building expansion, the Ore Dock Brewing Company is happy to bring back the beloved festival in April.
The festival returns with six live bands and two DJ sets, 20 drinks on tap and six food trucks on site, throughout both front and back spaces of the brewery.
“We’re really excited to be able to utilize and enhance that space for everybody,” said Curated Events Manager, Amanda Courchaine.
This year, $10 wristbands will be required for entry. These and all other angry bear necessities can be purchased either at the gate or at the brewery’s pre-sale party on April 3 at 7 p.m. This free event will include raffle drawings and prizes, including a handful of V.I.B. (Very Important Bear) passes.
Next to the pre-party, three separate events will also take place prior to the main event, with a Flower Crown Workshop, Baby Bear at the U.P. Children’s Museum, and the Angry Bear 5k. The brewery says to expect a familiar schedule for Saturday afternoon.
“It takes a village to make this all happen,” said Courchaine. “People can look forward to a similar festival as every other year, but were really excited to be bringing it back, I think the community is really excited as well. Everybody missed it last year, including us.”
Spring Street will begin closure on Friday, April 10 to allow for setup, before the festival kicks off at 3 p.m. on April 11. More information, visit oredockbrewing.com.
