MANISTIQUE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Due to anticipated severe winter weather conditions, Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital will close nonessential services on both Monday, March 16 and Tuesday March 17th, to help ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
While many services will be temporarily closed, essential hospital operations will remain open and fully operational. Essential services include:
· Emergency Department (open 24/7)
· Inpatient Care (Medical-Surgical Unit)
· Supporting departments including Medical Imaging, Dietary, and Laboratory services
· HomeCare and Hospice, which will maintain on-call services
Patients who had appointments scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will be contacted by hospital staff to reschedule their visits. The temporary closure will affect the following non-essential services:
· Rural Health Clinics in Manistique and Naubinway
· RediCare Clinic
· Behavioral Health Clinic
· Specialty Clinic
· Ambulatory Care Unit (including infusions, outpatient procedures, and chemotherapy)
· Non-emergent imaging procedures
