ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – A world-class blues musician is making his way to Ishpeming next month.
On Friday, March 13, award winning guitarist and vocalist D.K. Harrell and his band will perform a night at the Mather Inn. The 27-year-old star will play from his new album ‘Talkin’ Heavy,’ nominated for best album of the year, along with his nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Artist in the 2026 Blues Awards.
The show will mark the return of the Marquette Area Blues Society to bringing touring performers to the area, all at a fair price.
“It’s a great night, its world class entertainment, and we’ve got a great ticket price.” said Marquette Area Blues Society Vice President, Walt Lindala. “It’s only $10 a ticket, and you can’t beat that, because you’d pay more than that in parking just to see him in Chicago.”
Limited tickets can only be found in-person at the Mather Inn (107 E. Canda St., Ishpeming), or at Marquette Wallpaper and Paint (115 S 3rd St, Marquette).
