ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Teal Lake has completely frozen over into Ishpeming, meaning the Al Quaal tube slide opens for the season on Saturday, January 31.
Upcoming winter weekends from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., the popular tube sledding spot will be open to the public. Daily lift tickets can be purchased at the top of the hill for $15. At the bottom of the hill, the Teal Lake Lodge will be open to warm up inside.
The city will perform regular snow maintenance on-site, and in the event of sub-zero temperatures, the tube slide will remain closed.
The hill and lodge are also available to rent out for special gatherings. Reservations can be made by calling the Ishpeming City Hall at (906) 485-1091.
