ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – A piece of Escanaba history is in the process of being torn down.
On December 5, a fire caused extensive damage to the House of Ludington, leaving its tenants without homes and its staff without work. The fire started in a storage room on the third floor, and it took firefighters several hours to extinguish the blaze.
This week, construction crews are working to tear down what remains of the historic building, marking a significant change to the landscape of Downtown Escanaba.
