ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Delta County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for an annual fundraiser.
On February 7, the Chamber will host its Dancing Through the Decades Midwinter Gala at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris. Guests will enjoy a buffet dinner, cocktails, music and dancing, and a new mega raffle.
“It’s a reverse raffle where you actually want to be the last one standing,” explained Chamber Associate Director Sheila Krueger. “There will be different cash prizes and donations that will be given away throughout the night, but the last person standing will win up to $10,000. What’s nice about it is if you’re not able to attend the gala, you can still buy that mega raffle ticket and have a chance to win a great cash prize.”
Krueger says the gala is a great networking opportunity, as well as a fun way to help Delta County’s business community thrive.
“Proceeds support the chamber’s mission of promoting and supporting our waterfront community while keeping membership dues low, and then still do all the different programs and such that we hold throughout the year,” she said. “Our Delta Force leadership program is a great community asset, our work with bringing the cruise ships into town, and our different promotions that we do to highlight all of our members and what a great community we have.”
Gala and mega raffle tickets are available now at deltami.org/events.
