ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Santa Claus is getting ready to deliver presents tonight, but first, he made a stop in Escanaba to meet boys and girls of all ages.
Santa has made regular trips to the Delta Plaza Mall this holiday season, posing for photos with families and asking children what they want for Christmas. Santa says the number of visitors he’s received has grown with each visit. He anticipated a large crowd on Christmas Eve, marking his final trip to the mall for the year.
“Escanaba’s a great hub,” Santa said. “The Delta Plaza Mall is right dead center, and there’s a lot of room inside. It’s a joyous time. It slows us down a little bit. It’s happiness, joy, love, bringing families together. Thank you for the support over the years. It’s been absolutely wonderful. I hope to see you for many, many more years to come here.”
Eager families arrived before starting time to catch St. Nick before his big trip around the world. Santa began taking photos early to ensure everyone got their perfect Christmas picture.
