MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette Mountain Resort recently welcomed hundreds of skiers and snowboarders to kick off its opening weekend with a great amount of snow.
Beginning on Friday, the ski hill opened two runs through Saturday and Sunday. Slopes are currently covered in anywhere from one to three feet of both natural and man-made snow, created by a new lineup of snow machines this year.
Compared to a late start last season, mountain management says they look forward to a promising season of powder.
The season will officially open with its regular hours beginning December 20, utilizing this week for the addition of more snow along its runs.
