MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Local groups and businesses are gearing up to serve Thanksgiving meals and take-outs this Thursday.

Some businesses will remain open under special hours this year. Restaurants and other spaces will welcome their communities to a number of buffet lineups and take-out trays.

Staff at Dry Dock Bar and Grill in Harvey say these opportunities always provide a great source of local comfort.

“Over the years, we’ve found that some people don’t have family up here or nowhere to go, we just wanted to give them a comforting place to get a homestyle meal,” said bartender, Alexis Nelson. “It’s actually become a staple now that some people come in specifically for the Thanksgiving meal.”
