ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Escanaba Public Safety investigation has led to a sentencing in a criminal sexual conduct case.
In February of 2025, Public Safety received a serious complaint involving criminal sexual conduct. The department launched a thorough investigation, leading to the arrest of Joshua Herington.
On October 20, Herington was sentenced on the following charges:
- – Child sexually abusive material, aggravated possession x3 – 80 months to 10 years
- – Using a computer to commit a crime x3 – 38 months to 10 years
- – Criminal sexual conduct, 2nd degree x2 – 57 months to 15 years
All sentences will be served concurrently.
Officials say the case demanded long hours, difficult evidence review, and “unwavering determination.” Public Safety applauds the strong partnership between the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office, the Child Advocacy Center, and the Michigan State Police.
