ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – The second annual U.P. Pet Festival is coming to the U.P. State Fairgrounds on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Presented by Gladstone’s D&D Dog Dynamics, this year will feature fun events like ‘meet the breed’ dog shows, an agility show with the Bay De Noc Kennel club, sled dog features, K-9 demonstrations and more.
The festival will include training demonstrations in obedience, hunting, and invisible fences. There will also be a special demo both days at 3 p.m., with a car chase ending in a K-9 takedown.
All guests who bring animals must provide proof of vaccinations and sign a waiver.
“Being hosted by D&D dog dynamics, we have a little bit more of that dog focus, but we do have other varieties of animals as well,” said Sammi Grzybowski, President of D&D dog dynamics. “We have some cats making their appearance, and I’ve heard that we’re going to have a pet skunk visitor this year as well.”
