MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette Rockestra is back for a performance on May 29 at 7 p.m. at Lakeview Arena.
Since 2017, the group consists of over 20 assorted musicians, coming together with a set of various hits from across the decades, all for a good night of fun.
In switching locations this year, Rockestra Coordinator Daniel Truckey says Lakeview Arena will provide plenty of room for dancing.
“Every year before has been in a theatre,” said Truckey. “We decided to do a dance show to do something all ages. A lot of times, we’d be playing dance music in the theatre and people couldn’t dance.”
Tickets at the door are $22. Proceeds from this year’s show will go towards a scholarship for Marquette high school students pursuing the arts in college.
