MARQUETTE, MI. (WZMQ) – The Marquette Food Co-Op is hosting its 4th annual Earth Clean up day this Saturday from 11 A.M to 2 P.M. The Co-Op will provide gloves, bags, food, and refreshments plus this event has no registration required, just show up ready to help.
Participants will be put into groups and given routes to follow and look for trash all around Marquette. This event is a family-friendly event with kids’ games and raffles being offered during the clean-up.
The event sponsors; Partridge Creek Compost, Recycle 906, and the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition will all have tables set up with more information on other ways to help care for the earth. This event is an opportunity to get outside and help the Marquette community.
“Earth Day is all about treating our planet well and being a good stewardess of our land and water and that’s what we like to do here it’s part of our mission at the Marquette Food Co-Op,” said Kelsie Dewer, Marquette Food Co-Op Communications Manager.
