ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – The West End Health Foundation will be taking applications for its 2025 Proactive Grants starting May 1. This grant cycle will focus on expanding recruitment for healthcare workers across Marquette County.
Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply and propose their ideas for building more of these opportunities; anywhere between $1,000 to $50,000 in funding will be available.
West End Health Foundation board member Kori Bjorn says that if one organization has a significantly outstanding proposal, they could potentially receive all $50,000 towards their non-profit organization.
“Rural healthcare workers are just a difficult problem to solve, so what we wanted to do is invest this $50,000 in the organizations in our community, to try to answer that problem,” said Bjorn. “And every organization might have a different answer.”
2025 proactive grant applications will be open between May 1 and June 1. For more information and to apply for the grant, visit westendhf.org.
