MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Northern Michigan’s largest rec show is back for its 30th year at the Superior Dome this weekend. Boats, jet skis, bikes, docks and more, coming from a record breaking 68 different vendors this year, are set out for folks to come and take a look at.
The UP Boat, Sport, & RV Show Coordinator Sarah Kimar, says “the vendors put a lot of work into this, they were able to fill this entire dome up yesterday, so they spent a lot of time working on it and we really appreciate them.”
Midway Rentals is one of the boat show’s main sponsors, offering everything they can to go along with the rest of the weekends lineup.
“Obviously it’s the RV and boat show, but we have a lot of things that we think we can offer to complement a lot of those things,” said Conrad Jewett of Midway Rentals’ purchasing department. “We’re here to showcase a lot of our rental equipment.”
A major interest for companies, especially those new to the boat show is not just to sell, but to gather more interest from customers potentially looking to make a big purchase in the future.
“We think that this is a customer base that we’re not super in tune with yet,” said Jewett, “so were really hoping to get a bit more roots in this community.”
The UP Boat, Sport, & RV Show will be open Saturday, April 5 from 10AM to 6PM and through Sunday, April 6 from 11AM to 3PM.
