MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Forest Flyers, billed as a ninja warrior-style indoor obstacle course Park will open on Sunday where you can sign up and try all the challenges out for free. Co-owner Adela Piper says this new activity center will offer challenging obstacle courses, both in the air, on the ground, and even in your mind,
“There’s a physical fitness component, and intentionally, there’s a component of life skills and mental health strengthening as well,” said Piper..
Kids will be challenged both physically and mentally with strength training and balance exercises as well as lessons in perseverance and dedication.
“We have a curriculum that’s designed to help tackle life’s obstacles as well, and each week, there will be a different theme tied to that, explained Piper.
Adela’s husband Jason says the sport of ninja often appeals to kids who may not like team sports.
“You know you can progress at your own pace. You can challenge yourself, but at the same time, you do have your other fellow teammate ninjas that are rooting you on,” said Jason Piper.
Forest Flyers Ninja Academy is located at 400 US-41, in Negaunee. Doors open for the grand opening at noon Sunday.
